Chicago Chosen for Prestigious Event in August

Delegates from all 50 States and US Territories to Convene

The 2024 Democratic National Convention will be held in Chicago, Illinois, the Democratic National Committee announced on Tuesday. The convention will be held from August 19 to 22, just 90 miles south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the Republican National Convention will be held in July.

The Democratic National Convention is a series of presidential nominating conventions held every four years since 1832. The event is attended by delegates from all 50 states and US territories, who vote to nominate the party's presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Chicago was chosen to host the 2024 convention after a competitive bidding process. The city beat out several other major cities, including New York, Atlanta, and Houston.
