England beat Denmark to reach Women's World Cup last 16
Lauren James scored the only goal as England beat Denmark 1-0 to reach the last 16 of the Women's World Cup.
The victory means England are top of Group D with two wins from two games and will face either Cameroon or Japan in the next round.
James' goal came in the 38th minute when she fired home from the edge of the area after being set up by Alessia Russo.
England were the better team throughout and had several chances to extend their lead in the second half, but they were unable to find a second goal.
Denmark had a couple of good chances to equalise in the second half, but they were unable to find a way past England goalkeeper Mary Earps.
The result means that England have now reached the last 16 of the Women's World Cup for the fourth time in a row.
